I have been tagged......

Hey peeps it has been awhile, but I was tagged and it seemed like fun..............

So the rules are that once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with "six weird facts/things/habits" about yourself.

Finish by choosing 6 people to tag and list their names. Dont forget to leave a comment that says "You are tagged, read my blog" in their comments on their blog.

C'mon, it'll be fun!

1) I have flown a plane, and have always wanted to get my pilots license. Mind you I was not good at spotting the runway from the air, which could be a problem lol.

2) Don Henley (Eagles drummer) was the reason/inspiration for learning to play the drums.

3) I was a sailorette (baton twirler) when I was a kid and won many awards for it.

4) I slept with the same stuffed animal until I was in my 20's at least

5) My whole childhood I wanted to grow up to be a lawyer, and I ended up being a systems analyst.

6) I feel the need to collect any new coins that come out in circulation, I would not call myself a collector but more scared that if they become valuable and I did not keep it I would kick myself later.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I guess they are not as much weird but more unknown to most.

Almond Chocolate

I have had a weak (at work) afternoon moment and bought an Almond Chocolate bar, left in the kitchen by a lady in our group supporting her son's school. Something on it made me laugh, on the back there is an allergy warning that says the following:

This product is manufactured in a peanut-free facility, but may contain traces of other nuts.

It better have more then traces lol. I bought an almond chocolate bar

Controversial?
I work for the government in an area that is very English (because it's IT). They have announced that all project leaders will have to learn French, and they will not place them in that position until they have the levels needed (Managers and above are already like this).

I agree with management needing to know French, what if one of your employee's is French, I think that is fair if he/she wants to speak in their language of choice. We are Canada and we do have 2 official languages. Other people are up in arms and upset which I can understand, because it will knock out some really good PL's just because of the language. Plus it is easier for me not to get upset since I already know a lot of French, and am comfortable in a French environment.

Now here is where I want opinions, my idea of a perfect bi-lingual environment is everyone understanding the others languages. Just because someone speaks to me in their language of choice "French", why should I not be allowed to answer back in my language of choice "English"? Opinions? Ideas?

Cute

I saw something kind of cute the other day. As driving I first came across some construction, then I looked across the street to see some little girls with a lemonade stand. There was a construction worker taking his money out for his lemonade. I must say they were very smart girls, they will be dangerous when older lol.

testing

For those of you that don't know I am a systems analyst. For the most part I enjoy the job, the design aspect I really like.

The part which I don't like, and I have been doing for a week is output review ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Man it can be boring lol. Mind you I do enjoy the good problems, the ones that I really have to look into and analyse and that push me. Its funny how problems can be so exciting when it comes to computer programs, they get my blood pumping, sad eh? lol.

For a week I have been trying to answer a spreadsheet of 100 questions from our testing group. Mind you they made me want to rip my hair out, but I think that is a good sign it means they are doing their job well

By doing this I really have learned the program (I am new to it this year), and found many many many exceptions which can be hard to explain to the testers. So I enjoy up having to say things like "well this is how this works, unless this this and this is present" lol.

But today I answer the last question whooooooooooooooooooooooooh. Yay, now the days will be a bit more exciting.
